Inclusion criteria and corrections
We include every tool that fits a category and is sold to Belgian companies. This is how we work, and this is how you get a mistake corrected.
Who we include
A tool enters a category when it meets three conditions:
- It does the core work of the category, as described in the criteria of that category.
- It is sold to Belgian companies: a Belgian vendor, a Belgian office or reseller, or an offer in Dutch or French with Belgian customers.
- It has a public website where we can check the data.
A vendor does not have to pay and does not have to agree to be included. A category page only goes online when it lists at least three tools.
How we check data
For each criterion we note the value, the source and the date. Sources are the vendor’s website, documentation and pricing page, or an official list, such as the list of certified cash register systems. If we find no source, we show “unknown” and the criterion counts as 0.
Getting a mistake corrected
Is a data point wrong, or is something missing? A vendor can request a correction through claim your profile, with a source. Readers can report the same to us. We only change a data point when the source confirms it, and every profile shows the date of the last check.
Screenshots
On profiles we show a capture of the vendor’s public homepage, with the source and the date of the capture. That capture illustrates the profile and does not count towards the score. We only show product screenshots when the vendor supplies them itself, free of charge and the same for every profile. If a vendor wants a capture removed or replaced, a correction through claim your profile or a message to us is enough.
What we do not do
We do not remove a tool at a competitor’s request. Nor do we remove a correct data point at a vendor’s request. A tool only disappears when it no longer meets the inclusion criteria, for example because it is no longer sold.
