Terms of use

You can read everything on the site without an account. With an account you save a shortlist, follow categories, write reviews and request intros. These are the terms that come with that.

What the site is

A neutral comparison of software for companies that work on construction sites, on the road or at customers’ premises. Every score comes from the published method. Vendors cannot buy a place in a ranking. Read how we earn money.

The site gives information with sources, not legal or tax advice. Always check legal obligations with the source we cite.

Your account

  • You create an account with your email address or with Google.
  • When you register, you accept these terms. We store which version and when.
  • Your company details (name, company number) are optional. We only use your email domain when it is a company domain.
  • You delete your data yourself on the account page. You remove your login separately afterwards.

Buyer signals: your company, never your name

Vendors pay us to know which companies are researching their category right now. That is the core of how the site stays free for buyers.

What a vendor sees: that a company like yours is researching a category this week, with the company name, the topic and the stage (exploring, comparing, choosing).

What a vendor never sees: your name, your email address, your job title, which pages you viewed or how often.

When not:

  • When you gave no company and your email has no company domain.
  • When your company is a sole proprietorship: the company then coincides with a person.
  • When your browser asks not to be tracked (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track).
  • When you switch buyer signals off on your account page. You can do that at any time, with one click.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest and that of vendors to reach buyers at the right moment (article 6.1.f of the GDPR). You can object to it at any time with the switch on your account page. From that moment it no longer counts.

We only pass on a person’s contact details when you request an intro yourself, for each vendor you tick.

Reviews

  • Only write about software you use or used yourself, in your own words.
  • We check that you work at a real company. We only show your name if you choose so.
  • A vendor may reply. It cannot have a review removed because it is negative.
  • Read the full review policy.

What is not allowed

  • Reviews about your own product or that of a competitor.
  • Reviews in return for a payment or benefit that depends on the content.
  • Copying the site or the data automatically outside the open dataset and the MCP server.

Changes

With a new version we ask you to accept the terms again when something changes in what vendors see.
